What if Loki was a frost giant runt adopted by Odin and Frigga way before Thor’s birth? What would happen when Thor came as the heir the two had always wanted, and Loki was no longer the future king and had to play the reluctant older brother? 

Loki tries his best to play happy when he finds out his adoptive parents are finally expecting a child, given it’s a miracle they have prayed for throughout the years. But he knows deep down that this child will be his own downfall: it will not only take away his right to the throne and the love he had all for himself until now, but it will make his mere existence completely obsolete. 

That is, until he sees his newborn brother for the first time and realizes that all his anger and jealousy slowly turns into something else, something he never deemed possible.
